A few days ago I bought this new PC , a machine all-in-one from the nice features at an affordable price (<400€)
The characters are as follows:
OS: MS Windows ® XP Home Edition, for which the computing power available is a good choice;
CPU: Intel ® Atom ™ N270 , a processor with low power consumption, quiet, and that can fully satisfy the requirements for the PC was conceived;
Chipset: Intel ® 945GSE Express Chipset, the system is highly integrated as a PC all-in-one;
RAM: Up to 2 GB of DDR2 533 MHz SDRAM (supports a single DIMM), the I bought the machine has only 1 GB of RAM but it works egreggiamente;
Display: 18.5 ", 16:9 widescreen, 1366 x 768 resolution is not great but is perfect for surfing;
Hard Drive: Serial ATA up to 160 GB (the model I bought);

Overall, a machine that uses very little energy, takes up little space and is equipped with everything you need to make a multimedia workstation to be placed in a corner of the house where he little space.
Until a few years ago I would have never bought a PC with these features, but today the knowledge that the PC has to adapt to the house and the context in which it must be inclined to machines that are not the main feature of the performance but have usability and the ability to adapt to the environment their strong point. A similar argument can be made for netbooks, which went against the machine and have made important numbers on the PC market last year. Maybe for the PC all-in-one is still early, but certainly are machines that will soon discuss.
In our ever-smaller houses, but where the computer is increasingly a subject and that this will tend to leave the room or go to the studio to the living room, it is inevitable that will reduce and be integrated into and become an object design.
Today EZ1600 is in my kitchen-living room, and replaced the great PC that was first based on the Celeron 215 that gave us much satisfaction.
The new PC has cut energy consumption by about 75%, with a load on the UPS by 3% compared with 15% of the previous year, an interesting result and should give pause even in a business where PC of this type could significantly reduce energy consumption.
Can anyone argue that the PC is not very expandable, too integrated, and that the board is MS Windows XP, which you can answer that one must think of this PC as an appliance like a TV and a vacuum cleaner, I know very few people who have made an expansion after years of a PC, maybe because too obsolete and hard to find compatible hardware finally XP that is still a 'good solution in every field and that MS will difficult to free.
